Simon Wheatley

WordPress development and the odd other thing

About Me

I’m a WordPress developer, and I used to run Code for the People, who were acquired by Automattic in 2014. I now work in the WordPress.com VIP team, helping run some pretty high traffic sites.

Want to follow me on Twitter? I’m @simonwheatley. More about me on the about me page.

Come and work with me!

The VIP team at Automattic is a great place to work. We’re looking for all kinds of colleagues to throw their hat into the ring with us… from VIP Developers, Platform Engineers (that’s my team), to Biz Dev and Legal Counsel; take a look at our careers page.

You’ve got a never-ending resource of inspiration just in front of you every day – you can see completely different approaches to building web applications on top of WordPress and you can see the way how they work in real life.
– my colleague, David Biňovec
